I tried to get my representatives in Congress to take some action when I contacted them in March, here are their responses.

Dear Mr. McVay:
Thank you for contacting your congressional office regarding your opposition to the Copyright Royalty Board's (CRB) decision to increase music royalty rates for 2006 - 2011. I appreciate hearing from you.
I understand your concerns with regard to this issue. The Copyright Act set up the basis by which our Copyright laws are enforced and copyright holders want to protect themselves against unauthorized reproduction. However, given the technological advances in Internet streaming and satellite radio, distributors of the content want to make sure that consumers are able to use the resources available in a way that is most convenient for them. While there is no legislation currently pending before the House dealing with this issue, you can be assured that I will keep your thoughts firmly in mind should relevant legislation come before me for consideration.
As always, your interests and concerns are important to me. Thank you for contacting me about this issue. You may visit www.house.gov/rahall to sign up for electronic updates on the issues important to you.
May God richly bless your family and you and heal our Nation. Please feel free to call upon me anytime that I may try to be of assistance.
With warm regard, I am
Sincerely,
NICK J. RAHALL, II
Member of Congress
NJR/ely
And now for the second one that I received.
